Missing Person

At 7:40pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a missing person. Raymond Howes, a 49 year old Devonshire man, was last seen around 3pm on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Marketplace on Church Street in the City of Hamilton wearing a plaid shirt and dark blue pants. He is described as dark brown skinned, 5'5" tall of slim build, with close cut dark brown hair. Police have been searching in the area of Spittal Pond in Smith's parish since 8:25pm on Sunday after the Devonshire man's motorcycle was located there. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 49 year old Raymond Howes (pictured right) is urged to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 295-0011.

Breaking & Entering

At 5pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Wilderness Lane, Smith's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 3pm and 4:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. It appears that nothing was taken from the residence; however, after a search of the area Police located the suspect, a 29 year old man of no fixed abode. He was arrested, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving (ranging in age from 23 - 41 years old; the highest reading (failure) = 264mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood). There were also 7 incidents of breaking and entering, 13 damage only road traffic collisions and 7 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
