Disturbance

At 1 this morning, Police attended a reported disturbance at the Police Recreation Club in Prospect, Devonshire. On arrival officers observed approximately 100 young people in the area, following a function at the club. Officers stayed in the area until the crowd dispersed; however, a 16 year old Pembroke girl was arrested for offensive words after refusing to vacate the premises and a 19 year old Pembroke woman was arrested for obstruction when she attempted to prevent the arrest of the Pembroke girl. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 11:05pm on Thursday, Police were on mobile patrol on Middle Road in Warwick approaching the junction with Morgan's Road when they observed a man acting in a suspicious manner run across the road. The officers gave chase; however, the suspect managed to make good his escape. Further enquiries revealed that a burglary occurred at a nearby Keith Hall Road, Warwick residence just prior to the sighting of the suspect, who is known to Police. The complainants reported that an unknown culprit gained entry into their home around 11pm and stole two handbags. The handbags were recovered, minus $550 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Missing Persons

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to appeal for the public's help in locating 55 year old Gladwin Reginald (Stella) Gilbert of Devonshire (pictured right). He was last seen at 11:30am on Saturday in Devonshire wearing a tan shirt and white pants. He has since been seen in the Sandy's parish area. Mr. Gilbert is described as light brown skinned, 5'8" tall weighing approximately 165 pounds with close cut hair. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 55 year old Gladwin Gilbert is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477 or the main Police number, 295-0011.

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public's help in locating 46 year old Paul Edness of Warwick. He was reported missing around 9:25pm on Wednesday and has not been seen since Monday, March 27, 2006. He is described as 5'6" tall, medium brown skinned with close cut curly hair. He was wearing a blue & white plaid woolen jacket, grey track pants and white sneakers. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 46 year old Paul Edness is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477 or the main Police number, 295-0011.
