Alleged Firearm Incident

At 4:40 this morning, Police received a report of gunshots heard in the Glebe Road, Pembroke area around 2am Monday. Details about the incident remain unclear; however, there were no reported injuries. There were several individuals in the area on Police arrival. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Assault

At 2:15am on Saturday, Police were on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton when they received a report of two men fighting outside the Blue Water Anglers Club on Crow Lane. On arrival the officers observed two men involved in a physical altercation. ‘Captor’ had to be deployed and the two men, an 18 year old Devonshire man and a 19 year old Devonshire man, were eventually arrested after a struggle. The 19 year old Devonshire man was taken to KEMH for treatment of a broken nose and cuts to his mouth. He was later released from the hospital. The 18 year old Devonshire man declined medical treatment. Inquiries are ongoing.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 9:40pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Town Road and King Street in Pembroke. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling south on King Street when the rider, a 30 year old Pembroke man, lost control and fell to the ground. The Pembroke man sustained abrasions to his body and legs and was taken to KEMH for treatment. He was subsequently released and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The cycle’s passenger, a 4 year old Sandy’s parish girl, sustained abrasions to her head and body and was taken to KEMH for treatment. The cycle received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 3 reported burglaries. There were also 10 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 7 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
