Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

At 1:25 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Studio Lane. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling east on North Shore Road when the rider, a 33 year old St. George’s man, lost control and collided with an embankment. The St. George’s man sustained minor abrasions to his legs and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The cycle received damage to its front and left side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 5:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Spice Hill Road and Warwickshire Drive in Warwick involving a car and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling west on Spice Hill Road when the rider, a 21 year old Warwick man, overtook a van and collided with a car traveling in the opposite direction. The Warwick man sustained an injury to his right leg. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 66 year old Warwick woman, was not injured. The cycle and the car received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All incidents are under investigation.
