Around 11:05 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Church Street near the junction with Wesley Street in the City of Hamilton, involving a car and a pedestrian. It appears that the car, a black Toyota Corolla, was turning west on to Church Street when it collided with a pedestrian on the pedestrian crossing. As a result the car sustained front end damage. The pedestrian, a 33 year old Smith’s parish woman, was taken to KEMH for treatment of a sprained left ankle and bruised hip and later released. The driver, a 37 year old Smith’s parish man, was ticketed for driving without due care and attention.
