Death of PC Paul Marsden

Sun, 2006-01-22

It is with a great sense of regret that the Bermuda Police Service announces the death of our colleague and friend, Police Constable Paul Marsden.

Around 4pm on Sunday, January 22, 2006 while representing the Bermuda Police Service in a rugby match against Mariners Rugby Club at the National Sports Centre, PC Marsden collapsed. Attempts were made to revive him at the scene by players and the St. John's Ambulance Brigade who administered CPR. He was then rushed to KEMH via ambulance where he subsequently died.

On behalf of the Commissioner of Police George Jackson and the Bermuda Police Service we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of our dear colleague and friend PC Marsden.

Funeral arrangements for PC Marsden will be forthcoming.
