Witness Appeal: Assault at Warwick Post Office Monday Afternoon

Tue, 2019-12-17

Around 4pm Monday, December 16th police officers responded to a reported assault at the Warwick Post Office on Middle Road.

Circumstances of the incident are that prior to police arrival, a 22 year old man – said to be a Warwick resident – walked through the front entrance of the post office.

A short time later three other males walked in, with a fourth male standing at the front door. The three males then punched the 22 year old man in front of astonished customers before all four males quickly left the building.

Apparently the 22 year old man had no visible injuries following the brief assault.

The suspects are described as four brown complexioned males wearing dark coloured jackets and black helmets. It is believed that they left the area on separate motorcycles.

The Bermuda Police Service is also aware that video footage of the incident is circulating as inquiries continue.

Any witnesses that have not already come forward – or any members of the public with relevant information – are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 as soon as possible.
