At last check the 8 year old St. George’s girl injured as a pedestrian by a car on St. David’s Road in St. George’s around 8am Tuesday, October 15th was recovering on the children's ward at the hospital. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any additional witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Jonathan Talbot on 293-2222.
Four Laptop Computers Stolen in Reported Burglary
The public is advised to be wary of anyone attempting to sell discounted HP 530 laptop computers after four of the same laptops were recently stolen from a Woodlands Road, Pembroke premises apparently sometime between 6:30pm Monday, October 14th and 9:30am Tuesday, October 15th.
Inquiries into this reported burglary are ongoing and anyone with any information regarding the incident or the location of the four black and grey HP 530 laptop computers is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 247-1744.
Online Scam Advisory
The Financial Crime Unit of the Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the public to remain vigilant when attempting to purchase items via the internet, especially if asked to send wire transfers to unknown persons overseas for payment of goods not yet received.
If the person is not selling locally or if an overseas person requests to purchase items posted on a local online classifieds website be wary, as it may not be legitimate. Residents should not send any monies to unknown persons before receiving the goods.
