Around 10pm on Saturday, March 8th police responded to a reported serious assault in the Hermitage Road, Devonshire area.
It appears that a 15 year old Warwick male was assaulted by two men, one brandishing a bladed article. At last check the teenager was being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for a serious hand injury as well as a laceration to the neck; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
Two Devonshire men, a 29 year old and a 27 year old, have been arrested in connection with this incident and remain in police custody pending further inquiries.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this reported serious assault to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested one person on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.
Officers also arrested nine people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
