The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 88 year old Peter Woolcock and extends condolences to his family and friends.
Pedestrian Mr. Woolcock was struck by a car on Par-La-Ville Road around 10am Thursday, December 4th in the vicinity of the Royal Gazette offices.
Following the collision he was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and initially admitted into the hospital in stable condition. However, he was subsequently pronounced dead at 2:47pm Thursday.
A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist Mr. Woolcock’s family at this difficult time.
A full investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing and police continue to appeal for any witnesses, especially persons that may have been in the Par-La-Ville Road, Serpentine Road Pembroke area around 10am Thursday to contact the investigating officer Constable Stephen Paynter at the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788 or the main police telephone number 295-0011.
Two Motorcycle Collision in Southampton
Around 8:30pm on Thursday, December 4th first resonders were dispatched to a reported two motorcycle collision on Middle Road in Southampton in the vicinity of the Port Royal Fire Station.
It appears that the motorcycles were being ridden in opposite directions when the collision occurred. Both riders, a 22 year old Sandys parish man and a 55 year old Southampton man respectively, sustained leg injuries.
They were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check both men were recovering in stable condition on a general ward.
There were no other injuries reported.
