Around 11:30pm on Monday, January 27th first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Belmer Drive.
It appears that a car was being driven along South Road when it overturned. The driver, a 24 year old Smith’s parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
At last check he was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Traffic was temporarily diverted from the scene until the extensively damaged car was towed away. There were no other injuries reported.

Arrest on Suspicion of Impaired Driving
Around 6:50pm on Monday, January 27th police officers attended a reported single vehicle damage only collision on North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Berkeley Road.
It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 56 year old Pembroke woman, was not injured and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The car received extensive front end damage and was towed from the scene.
