The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 59 year old Richard Thomas of Paget and extends condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Thomas was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car around 5:55pm Monday, January 12th on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Ord Road.

He was subsequently pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital at 8pm Monday.

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to Mr. Thomas’ family to assist them at this difficult time and a full investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing.

The investigating officer Constable Walter Jackson is urging any witnesses to this fatal collision that have not already come forward to contact him at the Roads Policing Unit on telephone number 247-1230 or via e-mail wjackson@bps.bm.

The death of Richard Thomas marks the second road fatality for 2015.
