The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 10 year old Tiffanelle Pitcher-Francis.

Tiffanelle was seriously injured around 6:15pm Saturday, January 11th when the pedal cycle she was riding along Tribe Road Number 1 in Southampton apparently collided with a fixed footpath barrier.

EMTs immediately attended to the unresponsive 10 year old girl at the scene. Life saving efforts continued as she was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance; however Tiffanelle was later pronounced dead by an on call doctor at 6:45pm Saturday.

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to Tiffanelle’s family to assist them at this difficult time.

The investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing and any witnesses, particularly persons who may have information regarding the whereabouts of 10 year old Tiffanelle Pitcher-Francis in the hours prior to this tragic incident, should contact PC Bianca Glasford at the Roads Policing Unit directly on 247-1175, 717-2064 or via the e-mail address bglasford@bps.bm.
