Reported Serious Collision at Court Street & Dundonald Street [Updated]

Around 7:50am on Tuesday 19 April 2022, police and first responders were dispatched to a report of a two vehicle collision at the junction of Court and Dundonald Street City of Hamilton.

On arrival it was ascertained that both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Dundonald Street, when the male driver of a company van, attempted to make a right turn onto Court Street, crossing the path of a male motorcycle rider.

The motorcyclist was transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of a suspected head injury. The van driver was not reported to be injured.

Traffic is being diverted at Court and Victoria Street and Court and Elliott Street junctions while the scene is being processed. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact Constable Tashun Simons on 211 or tsimons2@bps.bm.

Update: Wednesday, 20th April - Thankfully, the motorcyclist hurt in a collision with a van Tuesday morning (19th April 2022) at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street in the City of Hamilton – understood to be a 26-year-old Pembroke man – has since been treated and discharged from hospital. The van driver was not injured. Inquiries regarding this collision continue and any witnesses are once again encouraged to call Constable Tashun Simons on 211 or e-mail tsimons2@bps.bm.
