Police Involved Shooting Incident [Updated]

Shortly after 12 AM on Saturday 24th of August 2024 police were responding to an incident in the vicinity of Khyber Pass, Warwick.

As the officers approached the junction with Quarry Lane, the officers observed two males riding a motorcycle in a southerly direction along Khyber Pass, when the passenger discharged a firearm at police.

Officers began pursuit which eventually lead to shots being fired. The suspects made good their escape.

Officers are presently searching the area for suspects as well as forensically processing the scene.

The length of Khyber Pass has been closed until police release the scene.
