Firearm Recovered - Around 8:45am on Monday, November 19th police officers attended a residence in The Glebe Road, Pembroke area and recovered a firearm. Year to date, 10 real and or imitation firearms have been recovered. No further information will be given at this time regarding this latest incident as a full investigation is now underway.
Car Collides With Utility Pole in Paget
Around 2:20am on Sunday, November 18th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Valley Road. It appears that a car was being driven along Middle Road when it collided with a utility pole. There were no reported injuries; however the car was extensively damaged. The driver, a 58 year old Pembroke man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later released after passing the alco-analyser test.
Motorcycle Collision in Southampton
Around 12:10am on Saturday, November 17th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Granaway Heights Road. It appears that the motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road when it collided with a wall. The motorcycle rider, a 24 year old Sandys parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. The motorcycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 19 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also arrested nine people on suspicion of impaired driving and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
