At 7:16pm on Saturday evening police responded to a report of a two vehicle collision between a car and a motorcycle  that occurred at the junction of Montpelier Road and Middle Road in Devonshire.  As a result,  a 30 year old Smith’s man was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury and the driver of the car was uninjured. Traffic was diverted to surrounding areas until the traffic collision investigators completed their assessments. The 30 year old Smith’s man is now on a general ward in the hospital.

Firearms Incident  

At 10:24pm on Friday police responded to a report of gun shots in the area of South Road in Southampton outside of the Rangers Sports Club. Upon police arrival it was forensically ascertained that a firearm had been discharged however no one was injured.

Police cordoned off the area and an investigation commenced.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a man on a motorcycle in the area acting suspiciously to contact Western CIU on 234-1010 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
