Community Meeting For Sandys Parish Residents - The Bermuda Police Service Western Community Action Team will be hosting a ‘how to’ community meeting for Sandys parish residents at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 30th. Area MPs will also be in attendance at the meeting, which will be held at St. James Anglican Church hall on Somerset Road.

The Western Community Action Team will advise residents on:

  • How to set up a Neighbourhood Watch.
  • How to establish a Community Action Group.
  • How to better secure their homes.

It is anticipated that additional ‘how to’ community meetings will be held in various parishes in the near future.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the Bermuda Day holiday weekend, police officers arrested five people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested 15 people for outstanding warrants, responded to six reports of loud music and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation over the Bermuda Day holiday weekend.
