Fire Alarm Activation - Around 10:30am on Tuesday, May 28th a fire alarm was activated in the custody area of Hamilton Police Station. As a result, the police station and the adjoining Magistrates’ Court in the Dame Lois Browne Evans building were briefly evacuated.
The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service promptly attended the scene, assessed the situation and shortly thereafter reentry into the premises was allowed.
Inquiries into the cause of the fire alarm activation are ongoing.
Traffic Advisory
The motoring public is advised that from approximately 6:20pm to 6:30pm Wednesday, May 29th a small ceremonial procession will take place in the City of Hamilton as part of installation services for Bishop Nicholas Dill.
The procession will travel from City Hall to the Anglican Cathedral on Church Street. Police officers from the Central Community Action Team will assist with traffic control in the area until the conclusion of the procession.
