Two Vehicle Collision - Around 2pm on Friday, March 22nd police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street in Pembroke.

It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Court Street and a car was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided at the junction. The motorcycle rider, a 27 year old Smith’s parish man, sustained relatively minor injuries to his legs. The car driver apparently drove away from the scene following the collision.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later released. There were no other injuries reported; however both vehicles were damaged, the motorcycle extensively. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Mervin Homer on 295-0011.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested three people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues. Officers also arrested 10 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
