Male Motorcyclist Injured in Collision With Car on North Shore Road

Around 1:40am Tuesday, January 7th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Coney Island Road.

It appears that a car was being driven west along North Shore Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.

Apparently the rider, said to be a 40 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained a hip injury and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

He was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and then placed on police bail pending further medical care.

The car driver, said to be a 48 year old Smith’s parish man, was not hurt and the scene was processed by the relevant police personnel.

14 Year Old Destiny Winters’ Return to Government Care Facility Overdue [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters. Apparently the teen went to school Monday morning (January 6th) but failed to return to her designated Government Care Facility as scheduled later that day.

She is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, of medium build with shoulder length curly hair.

When last seen Destiny was wearing her CedarBridge Academy uniform: light blue school shirt, grey skirt, grey socks, black shoes and a maroon sweater.

She is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.

So far efforts by police officers to locate her have been unsuccessful.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is asked to call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.

Update: The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.

She was found safe and well this afternoon (Tuesday, January 7th) in the Fentons Drive, Pembroke area and returned to her designated Government Care Facility.
