Sudden Death of Graham Spurling - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the sudden death of 61 year old Graham Spurling of St. George’s.
It appears that Mr. Spurling was kayaking in the Ferry Reach, St. George’s area around 2:30pm Thursday, June 27th before getting out of the kayak and going for a swim. Members of the public in the area then noticed Mr. Spurling was apparently in difficulty and came to his assistance.
The victim was given CPR at the scene, which was continued by EMTs who transported him to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Spurling at this tragic time. In addition, we would like to thank those members of the public that provided first aid to the victim at the scene.
Motorcyclist Remains in ICU
At last check the 35 year old Paget man seriously injured in a motorcycle collision at the North Roundabout in Pembroke around 12:55am Thursday, June 27th was in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Caleb Jn Pierre on 295-0011.
Ongoing Witness Appeal: Man Injured at Front Street Pub
Detectives are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to a reported incident at The Docksider Pub & Restaurant on Front Street in the City of Hamilton that occurred around 1:15am Saturday, June 15th where a 40 year old Smith’s parish man was injured. He was treated for his injuries at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and discharged the same day. Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses who were inside The Docksider Pub & Restaurant but have not yet come forward are encouraged to contact 247-1744 or 247-1291.
Missing Juvenile Trenton Williams Located
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Trenton Williams. The teenager returned safe and well in the early hours of Friday, June 28th.
