Attempted Theft of Jet Ski - Around 3:30pm on Saturday, June 22nd police officers responded to a report of an attempted Jet Ski theft in Sandys parish in the vicinity of RUBiS Boaz Island Service Station.

It appears that four males in a small motorboat attempted to remove a Jet Ski from the shoreline outside the service station but were unsuccessful. The suspects then made good their escape via the small motorboat they arrived in. An initial search by marine police personnel did not locate the suspects; however, inquiries into this incident are ongoing.

Ongoing Witness Appeal: Reported Serious Collision in Devonshire

Inquiries are ongoing into the reported serious collision that occurred around 3:30pm Monday, June 17th on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Devon Heights Road where a 19 year old male motorcyclist collided with a truck and was seriously injured. At last check the Pembroke teenager remains at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Any witnesses who have not come forward already, especially the occupant(s) of a grey Honda SUV that was apparently in a line of traffic behind the truck involved, are encouraged to contact PC Walter Jackson at the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1230.

Missing Juvenile Trenton Williams Located

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Trenton Williams. The teenager subsequently returned safe and well.

Upcoming Community Meetings

St. George’s residents are reminded that tonight, Monday June 24th a community meeting will be held at Ebenezer Methodist Church hall from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. In addition on Tuesday, June 25th a community meeting for Hamilton parish residents will be held at Crawl Hill Gospel Church hall from 6pm – 8pm.

At the meetings Chief Inspector Tracy Adams will make a brief presentation, introduce residents to their parish Community Action Team officer and seek to address any concerns. Additional community meetings will be held in various parishes in the near future.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested three people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested 17 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
