Single Vehicle Collision in St. George’s - Around 11:30am on Wednesday, July 10th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision in the area of York Street and Water Street in St. George’s.
It appears that a car was being driven along York Street when it collided with a wall. The driver, an 85 year old St. George’s man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance as a precaution. Both the car and the wall were damaged.
Traffic Advisory: 2013 NatWest Island Games Cycle Race
Sunday July 14th 2013 – Central Parishes
The motoring public is advised that there will be a cycle race on Sunday July 14th starting at 8am until approximately 12 noon along the International 10K road running race route.
Cyclists will complete a number of laps of the race route:
Frog Lane to Montpelier Road then left onto Middle Road; left again onto North Shore Road / Palmetto Road and left again onto Frog Lane.
To facilitate this race, traffic will be reduced to one lane (as per the race route) from approximately 8am until 12 noon.
Marshals will be posted along the race route and police officers will assist with traffic control to ensure that unauthorised vehicles do not access the race course.
