Investigation Into Fatal Collision Ongoing - The investigation into the fatal collision that claimed the life of 51 year old Andrew Peniston is ongoing. So far a few witnesses have assisted with the inquiry; however any other persons that may have been in the North Shore Road, Barkers Hill Devonshire area around 12:10am Sunday, January 6th are encouraged to come forward. In addition, anyone who was with Mr. Peniston immediately prior to this fatal collision or has information on his whereabouts during the evening of Saturday, January 5th should contact PC Roger Fox directly at the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1157.
Damage Only Collision on Harbour Road
Around 2am on Monday, January 7th police officers attended a reported single vehicle collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Lovers Lane. It appears that a van was being driven along Harbour Road when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 43 year old Pembroke man, was not injured and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The van received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and a court appearance for the driver is anticipated in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 10 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
