Reported Serious Collision in Smith’s Parish - Around 5:20pm on Wednesday, January 2nd police and first responders attended a reported serious two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Verdmont Road. It appears that an auxiliary cycle and a car were traveling along Middle Road when the vehicles collided.
The auxiliary cycle rider, a 17 year old Pembroke male, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition. There were no other injuries reported.
Both vehicles received extensive front end damage. There were some traffic delays in the area while collision investigators examined the scene. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
Collision in Paget
Around 8pm on Wednesday, January 2nd police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and Point Finger Road in Paget. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was being ridden along South Road and a taxi was being driven along Point Finger Road when the vehicles collided at the junction.
The auxiliary cycle rider, a 55 year old Warwick woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check she was recovering on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported. The auxiliary cycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
