Two Vehicle Collision in Smith’s Parish - Around 1:30am on Saturday, January 12th police officers attended a reported two vehicle damage only collision near the junction of Middle Road and North Shore Road in Smith’s parish. It appears that a car and a SUV were being driven along Middle Road when the vehicles collided. There were no reported injuries however the car driver, a 28 year old Southampton man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Both vehicles received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and a court appearance for the car driver is anticipated in due course.
Motorcycle Collision in Warwick
Around 12:30am on Saturday, January 12th police officers and first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Warwick Lane in Warwick near the junction with Warwick Close. A 29 year old Southampton man and a 24 year old Southampton man apparently involved in the collision were located at the scene with injuries. The 29 year old man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and later released. The 24 year old man sustained relatively minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
