Around 9:25pm Wednesday, March 24th a two motorcycle collision occurred near the junction of Palmetto Road and Roberts Avenue in Devonshire.

Police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel responded to the scene.

It appears that a 58-year-old male was riding a black motorcycle east on Palmetto Road with a 44-year-old male passenger and an unknown motorcyclist with an unknown passenger was traveling in the opposite direction along Palmetto Road when the unknown motorcyclist overtook a car and struck the side of the eastbound motorcycle causing all four individuals – along with both motorcycles – to fall onto the road.

It is understood that the unknown rider and the unknown passenger then got back onto the motorcycle they were traveling on, continuing west along Palmetto Road.

However, the rider and passenger of the eastbound motorcycle – both said to be Devonshire residents – were hurt and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

The 58-year-old man apparently sustained non-life threatening injuries to both legs while the 44-year-old man apparently sustained non-life threatening injuries to both legs and his right arm.

Relevant police personnel processed the crash site and inquires continue to locate the other two individuals involved.
