Counterfeit $10 & $50 Bills Circulating - The Bermuda Police Service is conducting inquiries into reported incidents of counterfeit Bermuda as well as U.S. $10 and $50 bills being tendered at local businesses recently. These counterfeit notes are of poor quality.
Liquor licensed premises and other businesses involved in the nighttime economy are encouraged to be especially vigilant for any individual(s) attempting to pass counterfeit currency.
If counterfeit cash is detected during a transaction, staff receiving the fake money should hold on to it, note the description of the individual who tendered it and contact police immediately.

The public is reminded that it is a criminal offence to pass to another, possess, make or reproduce any counterfeit currency; punishable by up to five years in prison.
