Arrests on Suspicion of Impaired Driving - Around 1:40am on Sunday, December 16th police officers were monitoring traffic along Middle Road in Sandys parish when a white car sped through the area. Officers followed the vehicle and caused it to stop near Granaway Heights Road in Southampton. The driver, a 27 year old Pembroke man, appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Around 1am on Sunday, December 16th police officers on mobile patrol along Wellington Slip Road in St. George’s observed an auxiliary cycle being ridden erratically. Officers caused the vehicle to stop and spoke with the rider, a 39 year old St. George’s man, who appeared to be intoxicated. As a result, he was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 9 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
