Attempted Robbery at Queen Street Restaurant

At 9:07pm on Friday evening Police attended a Queen Street restaurant on a report of an attempted robbery. The victim states that he was in the process of closing the establishment when an unknown male entered the premises wielding a machete and making demands of money.

However, there was no money in the restaurant and the suspect left the premises empty handed. As a result of this incident the victim received a small cut to his arm and no one else was seriously hurt. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the incident or have any knowledge of the suspect or any circumstances, we are asking you to call Central CIU on 295-0011.
