Arrest on Suspicion of Impaired Driving - Around 3:45am on Sunday, April 21st police officers on mobile patrol along South Road in Paget near the junction with Bellevue Drive encountered an auxiliary cycle being ridden erratically through the area.

As a result the rider, a 23 year old Pembroke man, was caused to stop. He appeared to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Recruit Foundation Course #75 Underway

The Bermuda Police Service currently has 15 student officers undergoing training on Recruit Foundation Course #75. The recruits consist of 14 Bermudians, as well as the spouse of a Bermudian. The eight men and seven women are currently taking part in the third week of their 16 week training course at Police Headquarters in Prospect.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested 13 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
