Marine Incident in Hamilton Harbour - Around 1:15am on Sunday, April 14th police officers including members of the Marine Unit and first responders were dispatched to a reported marine incident in Hamilton harbour after a private vessel ran aground on Saltus Island.

Initial information suggests that a 61 year old American woman was the only person onboard at the time injured. She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check she was recovering on a general ward. The other persons onboard at the time also attended the hospital for medical assessment as a precaution.

Inquiries are ongoing by the Marine Unit. The stricken vessel was subsequently removed from Saltus Island.

Reported Serious Rental Cycle Collision in Paget

Around 11:30am on Friday, April 12th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle rental cycle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Honey Hill. The rider, a 59 year old American man and his wife (pillion passenger) were injured. At last check the rider was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and likely to be flown overseas for further medical treatment. His wife received relatively minor injuries. The rental cycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Christopher Brady on 295-0011.

Update: Reported Serious Collision in Paget

At last check the 26 year old male visitor injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on South Road in Paget near the junction with Harvey Road around 7:30pm on Thursday, April 11th was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
