Around 3:30pm on Friday, July 18th first responders attended an apparent near drowning at Admiralty House Park beach in Pembroke.
Details are limited at this time; however it appears that the victim, believed to be a nine year old boy, went swimming and got into difficulty.
The youngster, who was reportedly at the location as part of a summer programme, was given CPR at the scene before being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
His condition is not known at this time; however he was apparently conscious and breathing prior to leaving the area.
Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and an update will be provided when more information is available.
