At 3:25 this morning, Police attended a reported robbery at King’s Square in St. George’s. It appears that the victim, a 23 year old man (who is a Canadian visitor to the island), was standing with another man at the junction of York Street and King’s Square when he was approached by the suspect who asked for money.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm that the death of 52 year old Jean-Paul Gauthier of Smith’s parish was as a result of natural causes. Around 12:10am on Monday, Mr. Gauthier was found in an unresponsive state by a member of staff in Flanagan’s Sports Bar on Front Street in the City of Hamilton and was later pronounced dead at the scene by an on-call physician.

At 12:30 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish. It appears that a blue Hyundai Getz car was traveling east on Wilkinson Avenue when the driver lost control, colliding with the west bound wall and then the east bound wall. As a result the car sustained extensive front end damage.
At 12:55pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported attempted breaking and entering at a Tribe Road #1, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that earlier she heard a loud noise outside and went to investigate. She observed a man fleeing from outside a neighbour’s residence and alerted Police.
Around 1:35 this morning, Police attended the Robin Hood Pub & Restaurant on Richmond Road in Pembroke, after receiving a complaint of loud music. On arrival, a scuffle occurred between two groups of men. While attempting to restore order, Police recovered a blue vinyl covered object which was later discovered to be a taser. Shortly thereafter, the crowd promptly dispersed resulting in no arrests.
Around 12:10 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire, involving a rental cycle and a van. It appears that the van was traveling east on North Shore Road with the rental cycle traveling in the same direction behind the van. When the van attempted to make a right turn, the rental cycle collided with the rear of the vehicle.
