At 5:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cameron Close, Smith's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:20am and 5:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while she was away from the premises.
Around 5:30 this morning, Police received a report of a vehicle taken without the owner's consent. The owner stated that sometime between 6:30pm on Wednesday and 5am today, an unknown culprit removed her car, a green Volkswagen Polo license #39749, which was parked outside her Orchard Grove, Pembroke residence. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Theft
At 1:45 this morning, Police attended a reported handbag snatch on Queen Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 31 year old Paget woman. She stated that around 1:30am she was walking with a female friend east along Front Street approaching the junction with Queen Street when an unknown man ran up behind them and grabbed her purse.
At 4 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Pembroke guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants, who are visitors to the island. They stated that sometime between 10pm on Monday and 3:35 this morning, an unknown culprit gained entry into their room. The culprit stole approximately U.S.
Around 1:20pm today, Police were stationary on Paynters Road in Smith’s parish when they observed a silver Rover car which had been reported stolen traveling west along the same road. The Police officer followed the vehicle at a distance along Harrington Sound Road, through Devil’s Hole and then on to South Road. Then the car stopped in the area of Watch Hill Park. The officer approached the vehicle and told the driver to turn off the car’s engine, which he did.
At 2:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Camden North Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 1:55pm that day, she visited the premises and discovered that an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while the owners were away.
Around 12:40am on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Cut Road in St. George’s. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Cut Road when the rider, a 30 year old St. George’s man, lost control and collided with a utility pole. The St. George’s man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of a head injury and a fractured hand.
