Around 11:35pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Hamilton parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. He stated that at 11:10pm he was awakened by a noise in his room. When he turned on the light, he discovered an unknown man in the room.

Advisory – Traffic Diversion: Flatt’s Festival

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the motoring public that due to the Flatt’s Festival, which will be held tonight at 6pm, the following traffic diversions will take place. Effective from 6pm, traffic traveling east will be diverted over Store Hill and traffic traveling west will be diverted over Flatt’s Hill.

Around 9:25 this morning, Police attended a reported fire at an Elliot Street, Pembroke residence. The Bermuda Fire Service was also in attendance. The area was cordoned off and the fire extinguished. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Disturbance

Around 3 this morning, Police attended a reported disturbance at the Devonshire Recreational Club on Frog Lane in Devonshire. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old Pembroke man, was assaulted by a group of men following a function at the premises. The men reportedly sprayed the Pembroke man in the face with a fire extinguisher before kicking him about the body.

Around 11:30am on Thursday, Police attended a reported disturbance outside the Market Place on Church Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that two men got out of a vehicle in front of the supermarket and approached two men sitting in another vehicle. The suspects then assaulted the victims in the vehicle with baseball bats.

At 6pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a South Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4pm and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry, a Sony video camera, 3 digital cameras, several DVDs, $300 worth of coins and personal items.

The Bermuda Police Service is reporting a breaking and entering that took place at Meadow Lane in Devonshire at 4pm yesterday. The complainant states that he walked into his home only to find out that someone had gained entry into his dwelling and ransacked it looking for items to steal. The thief made off with a Panasonic DVD player, a pair of Ray Ban shades, numerous coins, and a silver Gucci watch.

Around 10:40pm on Monday, Police attended a reported theft from a Hamilton parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that sometime between 10:30am and 8:30pm that day, U.S. $120 in cash was removed from her room. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
