Appeal to Witnesses of Hamilton Parish Collision & Devonshire Collision

Around 5:30pm Tuesday 4th May 2021 a collision involving a motorcycle, a car and two pedestrians was reported on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish outside The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo.

Initial information indicates that the motorcyclist was seriously injured and required CPR at the scene, before being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment.

Both pedestrians, a man and a woman, were also hurt – but they were said to be conscious and breathing. Their injuries are believed to be less serious.

Traffic travelling east was diverted along Harrington Sound Road while the scene was processed by a BPS Traffic Collision Investigator and Forensic Support Unit personnel. Those diversions are no longer in effect.

Update: Wednesday, May 5th - Third road fatality for 2021.

Another collision was reported around 6pm Tuesday, 4th May 2021, in the South Road, Devonshire Bay Road, Devonshire area involving two motorcycles.

Initial information indicates that the two riders, one male and one female, were hurt. Both were transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment. At this time the female rider’s injuries may be more serious than the male rider’s injuries.

Traffic in the Devonshire Bay area has been diverted until the scene has been processed by a BPS Traffic Collision Investigator and Forensic Support Unit personnel.  

Updates on the two collisions will be provided when more information is available and any witnesses are encouraged to call 211 as soon as possible.

Update: Wednesday, May 5th - Two motorcyclists require hospital treatment after Devonshire collision.
