Around 8:30 this morning, Police attended a serious road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Stadium Lane, involving a car and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling west on Middle Road behind a car which came to a sudden stop. This resulted in the auxiliary cycle colliding with the car. The rider of the cycle, a 17 year old Devonshire girl, was taken to KEMH, treated for minor injuries (chipped tooth, abrasions) and released; however, the passenger, also a 17 year old girl from Devonshire, sustained head injuries and is currently in critical but stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
