Reported Aggravated Robbery of Hotel Employee at Coco Reef Resort

Around 9:50pm Tuesday, December 17th a reported aggravated robbery occurred at the Coco Reef Resort in Paget.

It appears that a 24 year old male front desk clerk was sitting in the back office when a male intruder entered the area and started to search desk drawers.

A struggle ensued and the intruder made good his escape with the 24 year old man’s smartphone and wallet.

During the struggle, the intruder brandished a knife and cut the male hotel employee’s wrist.

The 24 year old was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of the injury and later discharged.

The smartphone was later recovered and the scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel.

The suspect is described as a brown complexioned male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall of solid build, weighing around 300 pounds. He was wearing a black Nolan helmet, grey hooded top and dark coloured long pants.

Specific Witness Appeal to Identify Warwick Post Office Assault Suspects

Inquiries continue regarding the reported assault of a 22 year old man that occurred around 4pm Monday, December 16th at the Warwick Post Office on Middle Road.

In particular, investigators are interested in speaking with any member of the public that can identify any of the suspects involved, described as four brown complexioned males wearing dark coloured jackets and black helmets.

The incident was captured on video now circulating on social media, which shows three of the suspects attacking the 22 year old man, while the fourth suspect stood at the front door.

It is believed that all four suspects then left the area on separate motorcycles.

Once again, any witnesses that have not already come forward – in particular any members of the public that can identify the four male suspects – are encouraged to share what they know.
