Thanks to your assistance, a forty year-old male suspect has been arrested, charged and brought before the courts.

Let’s continue to work together as we commit to making Bermuda safer.

13 Motorists Arrested on Suspicion of Impaired Driving

A total of 13 motorists were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving from the evening of Thursday, December 26th 2019 (Boxing Day) until the evening of Wednesday, January 1st 2020 (New Year’s Day) as road sobriety checkpoints were conducted in seven parishes (Hamilton parish, Smith’s parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton) during the period.

In addition, one person was arrested for possession of a bladed article and five individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants at the checkpoints.

While there are no road sobriety checkpoints scheduled for this coming weekend, members of the public are urged not to drive or ride under the influence as police officers conducting their regular patrols will be on the lookout for any offences, including impaired driving.
