Inquiries are ongoing after a two vehicle collision occurred on Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton parish around 9:15pm Sunday, 5th January 2025.
It appears that the two cars involved were being driven in opposite directions along Blue Hole Hill when they collided, in the vicinity of North Shore Road.
Apparently there was a female driver and two male passengers in the first car, while a male driver and passenger were in the second car.
It was reported that the male driver and passenger of the second car fled the scene on foot after the collision.
A male, believed to be the driver of the second car, later attended Southside Police Station.
One of the male passengers in the first car sustained a head injury, which was not considered serious initially.
He was conscious and received treatment at the scene by emergency medical technicians, before being transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical assessment.
The injured male, said to be a 27-year-old St. George’s resident, was then admitted into the hospital for additional medical care, after his head injury was deemed more serious than originally thought.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Traffic flow near the collision site was disrupted for approximately two hours after the incident.
