7th Road Fatality for 2019

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of Mr. Leslie Center, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a single vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred on Watlingon Road in Devonshire, on Thursday December 12th, 2019.

Mr. Center was at the time riding his bike in a westerly direction when he came into contact with the sidewalk at the junction of Upland Street and Watlington Road and went down.

He was transported to King Edward Hospital for treatment, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 pm on Thursday December 12, 2019. Anyone with information is asked to contact the main police line on 295-0011 or the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.

The Bermuda Police Service extends its condolences to the family of Mr. Center.

INJURY RTC

At around eleven minutes after midnight on Sunday 23-Dec-2019, Police & EMS were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Reid St, City of Hamilton; outside of A.S. Cooper involving a motor bike.

The 57 year old male rider was found unconscious and was transported to King Edward Hospital where he was attended to for injuries which do not appear to be life threatening.

He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired.
