Police Boat Naming Competition

The Bermuda Police Service is sponsoring a Police Boat Naming Competition for its new Police boat, which is expected to arrive in Bermuda before the end of the year.

Disturbance

Around 11:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported disturbance at a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 43 year old South African woman, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that around 11:45pm she was asleep in her apartment when she was awoken by a noise at the front door.

Burglary

At 6:50pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Hillview Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7am and 6pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole $350 in cash. A 52 year old Warwick man was subsequently arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are underway.

Injury RTC

At 3:30 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near its junction with East Point Lane. It appears that the rider of the motorcycle, a 32 year old Hamilton parish man, was traveling east on North Shore Road when he lost control and collided with a wall.

Missing Person

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in locating 35 year old Wayne Williams of Devonshire. Mr. Williams is believed to be in the St. George's area and may be driving a white Bermuda Shutters Ltd. van licence #L2699. He is described as a light brown skinned male, approximately 5'6" tall of slim build with close cut hair, facial hair and blue eyes.

Sudden Death/RTC

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 73 year old Lloyd Grimes of Pembroke. Around 8am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision on Roberts Avenue in Devonshire near its junction with Stadium Heights.

Burglary

Thu, 2006-05-11

At 10:10am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at the First Church of God in Pembroke.
