Collision - Around 8:45pm on Wednesday June 27th, police responded to a report of a collision on Somerset Road near the junction with Scotts Hill Road in Sandys. It appears that a motorcycle was travelling along Somerset Road when it collided with a parked car. The rider, a 45 year old Sandys man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was treated and released. The Sandys man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later bailed. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Collision Update
Around 7pm on Wednesday, June 27th police and first responders attended a reported serious single vehicle collision on Crow Lane in Pembroke near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling out of the City of Hamilton along Crow Lane when it collided with a bus stop shelter. As a result the rider, a 25 year old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. He was treated and later released. The Warwick man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later bailed. A court appearance is anticipated in due course. |
