The investigation into the murder of Marcus Gibbings is in its 13th day with 14 detectives currently attached to the investigation working under the command of Acting Inspectors Terry Maxwell and Robert Cardwell.

The investigation continues to progress with a number of statements being recorded to date and a number of warrants being executed under the authorities of existing legislation. The use of the latest investigative technology and a forensic strategy has been employed and those results once received are anticipated to progress the investigation further.

Police currently have a suspect in custody that is assisting with the investigation and the events leading up to the discovery of Marcus Gibbings.
