Theft

Around 6:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported theft from Devil’s Hole Hardware on Devil’s Hole Hill in Smith’s parish. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 5:45pm a man entered the store and asked about air compressors. The complainant informed him that there were none in the store. The man exited the store and on his way out, removed a Homelite gas blower, a Homelite chainsaw and a Ryobi flashlight/hammer set which were on display outside the store. The suspect then made good his escape as the passenger in a grey car heading west. The suspect who entered the store is described as a black male, approximately 5’7” tall wearing a grey & blue baseball cap and a white short sleeve t-shirt over a blue long sleeve t-shirt. He is believed to be in his 20s. The suspect driving the grey car is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’7” tall wearing a dark coloured cap. He is believed to be in his 30s. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Witness Appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred around 3:20am Monday on South Road in Warwick, near the junction with Rocklands Road resulting in the death of 29 year old German contract worker Andrei Holling. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact PC Maria Peterkin on 295-0011.
