At 12:55am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Devonshire near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Crow Lane when the rider, a 32 year old Southampton man, lost control and collided with several road dividers. As a result, the motorcycle was extensively damaged. The Southampton man was taken to KEMH for treatment of minor injuries, released and subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving. He was then taken to Hamilton Police station where he was detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Around 9:10pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction of Lukes Pond Road. It appears that a navy blue Opel Corsa was traveling west on Middle Road when the driver, a 25 year old Sandy’s parish man, lost control of the vehicle, colliding with an embankment and ending up in the eastbound lane. The car was extensively damaged as a result. The Sandy’s parish man was treated at KEMH for facial lacerations, released and subsequently arrested for suspicion of impaired driving. He was taken to Hamilton Police station where he was detained after refusing to take the alco-analyser test.

Breaking & Entering

At 8:30am on Saturday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Gwelly Lane, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Monday, April 11, 2005 and Friday, April 15, 2005 an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole several items of jewelry and personal effects. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
