Breaking & Entering

At 8:25pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Sound View Road, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7pm and 8:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a brown handbag containing $200 in cash, personal items and a cellular phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

In recent weeks the Bermuda Police Service has noticed an increase in incidents of breaking and entering in the Lovers Lane, Paget area. We are advising residents in this area to make sure their doors and windows are secure before leaving the house, and to be vigilant for any suspicious individuals or activity in the area. Anyone observing any suspicious activity or individuals in the area is asked to contact Police on 295-0011.

Appeal

Police are appealing for the owner of a helmet which was stolen from a motorcycle parked across from The Beach on Front Street in the City of Hamilton around midnight on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 to contact the Marine Unit on 299-4585 to identify & claim the helmet.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 8 people arrested for suspicion of impaired driving and 7 incidents of breaking and entering. There were also 16 damage only road traffic collisions and 7 road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
