Around 9:20pm on Saturday, the Police Support Unit (PSU) and other Police units attended a reported disturbance at White Hill Field in Sandy’s parish. On arrival officers patrolled the Railway Trail in search of the suspects, after receiving reports of a male stabbing victim; however, neither the suspects nor the victim were located. Police then monitored the main entrance and patrolled the field. Although there was still a large crowd present, no further disturbances or individuals with weapons were observed. Officers also made checks at KEMH for the victim, but these proved negative.

Around 10:50pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported disturbance outside the Maximart on Middle Road in Sandy’s parish. However on arrival, neither the suspects nor the alleged victim were located. Police then stayed in the area to monitor the large crowd leaving White Hill Field following the Majorette Competition.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to these incidents or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010. We are especially interested in speaking to anyone who may have been filming/video-taping the Majorette Competition at the time of the incident(s).
